What requirements must my dog meet before signing up for Boarding or Day Care?

All dogs and puppies must have their DH2PP/DA2PP and Bordetella vaccinations. Dogs who are old enough (usually around 16-20 weeks) should have their Rabies vaccination. There is NO age, breed, or spay/neuter requirement.

How much time does my dog spend outside/in her kennel?

Dogs are let outside on a rotation at least four times a day, for anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours at a time (weather permitting).

Can you handle special medical or refrigerated diets?

Yes. We can handle all kinds of diets, including prescription, raw or human-grade.

Can you administer medication?

Yes. We have former veterinary technicians on staff who are qualified to give almost any medication.

What if my nervous dog is too stressed?

We do our best to make all of our guests comfortable, including providing plenty of extra TLC to pups who are struggling to adjust. However, we will not force a dog to stay with us if they are still showing signs of debilitating stress after a few days of gentle care. We will always call you instead of needlessly prolonging a negative experience.

What do I need to bring for my dog’s Boarding or Day Care stay?

We require you provide plenty of food and any medications your dog takes. Some owners opt to bring a favorite bed, blanket or chew bone.

How do you organize play groups?

Play groups are designed by our staff based on temperament, size and play style. Play groups are supervised until we are comfortable with each dog’s behavior. Groups may range in size from two dogs up to a maximum of ten or twelve in the larger yards.

What if my dog doesn’t like other dogs?

If your dog isn’t comfortable socializing in a group and you’d prefer that we keep him separate, no problem – he can go out with our staff members. If you’d like us to try him with other dogs, we will select one or two dogs with appropriate temperament to socialize with your pup. If he is comfortable and behaving appropriately, we may expand his social circle on subsequent visits.

Can my dogs board together in the same kennel?

Yes, as long as the two dogs are comfortable lodging together and we have an appropriately-sized kennel available. Let us know if your dogs are possessive of their food bowls so that we can be sure we will have space to separate them during mealtimes.

Can my intact dog participate in play groups?

Generally, yes. Our procedures ensure intact dogs of opposite sex are never placed together.

Testimonials

This is our second go around with Jack at Doggie Do Right! Every single time the staff send us pictures and are always super friendly. When we dropped Jack off this round he was ready to go and didn’t even look back! It shows me they really do take good care of the pups! I would recommend them to anyone!

Christy M.

They took such good care of our girl Gemma ! She’d never been around other dogs. Her first experience in Day Care was with Doggie Do Right. She’s a 9 month old German Shepherd with inconsistent manners. They texted us and sent awesome pics of Gemma playing well with 2 other dogs within 4 hours of her stay!

Cathy M.

Highly recommend Doggie Do Right! We have used them for training, grooming, and now boarding and cannot say enough good things! They always communicate and answer all questions I have and I never once worried about our pups during their stay with them!!!
